Customers simply remove or cut off the shipping label or any stickers. They can be then placed in home composting bins along with garden waste. They will break down in 180 days (or sooner). Alternatively, they can be sent to industrial composting collection and they will break down even faster! To find a commercial composter near you, follow this link.

If stored correctly, satchels can last up to nine months from date of purchase. Store them in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight.

Our compostable satchels are plant-based! They're made from corn derivatives -PLA (polyactic acid) and biodegradable petrochemical component - PBAT (polybutylene adipate-co-terephthalate).

Absolutely! Our satchels are certified by by the Australasian Bioplastic Association (ABA). Our satchels can either be industrial (AS 4736-ABAP10129) or home composted (AS 5810-ABAP20056). You can verify our certifications on the Australasian Bioplastic website:

They are certified to break down within 90 days in commercial compost and 180 days in home compost.

To start the process of composting, place equal parts of organic brown /dry materials like cardboard, newspaper, hay, or dry leaves along with organic green waste (e.g., grass clippings or plant-based kitchen scrap but not bread) in the compost bin. UNAVOIDABLE DELAYS : Due to COVID and high volumes of parcel sending during this holiday season, there are unavoidable delays in all postage networks. Please contact Australia Post directly for delayed inquiries. We provide full tracking on all orders.

Returns

We want to make sure you are happy with your purchase. If there has been a fault or defect in your order, rest assured we can organise a replacement or refund for your order. Kindly send us a message for assistance. 

Change of Mind

If you no longer need your satchels or you have purchased the wrong size, you may be able to return them within 30 days of purchase. As our mailers are plant-based and has a shelf life, no returns can be accepted for change of mind reasons after this time has passed. 

Kindly send us a message with your order number and we can assist you further. We have a strict returns policy to ensure that we receive your returned items correctly. The satchels must be in all original re-sellable condition. 

We cannot accept any liability for goods lost in transit.  Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer. Tracking number for returned items must be provided. The products returned will be inspected to ensure the product meets the above criteria. If approved, your refund will be issued the same way you have paid, excluding the delivery fee. This may take a few days to get processed depending on your bank or card issuer.

Unfortunately, we are not offering customisation for the satchels. Only licensees and sublicensees certified by the Australasian Bioplastics Association (ABA) are allowed to use the Seedling Logo and Home Compostable Logo in their satchel or marketing purposes. The ABAP numbers in our satchels are unique to our company. This ensures authenticity of our certification.
